- We advise you to exercise caution and monitor developments that might affect your safety in Argentina because of the risk of criminal activity.
- Pay close attention to your personal security and monitor the media for information about possible new safety or security risks.
- Eruptions from the Chaiten volcano in Chile have resulted in considerable ash fall on the city of Esquel (Provincia de Chubut) and neighbouring areas in Southern Argentina since May 2008. Air and land transportation has been disrupted. See Natural Disasters, Severe Weather and Climate section below for more information.
