The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade does not issue a travel advice for Paraguay at this time.

A number of cases of yellow fever have recently been reported from rural areas of central east Paraguay, in particular San Estanislao in the department of San Pedro. Suspected cases have also been reported on the outskirts of the capital Asuncion. Argentina has reported an outbreak of yellow fever in monkeys in an area of Misiones Province bordering Paraguay. We recommend travellers to the affected areas consult their doctor about the need for a vaccination for yellow fever. Australians can register in person at any Australian Embassy, High Commission or Consulate or on-line. The registration information provided by you will help us to find you in an emergency - whether it is a natural disaster, civil disturbance or a family emergency.
