Full Stack Developer (Junior to Mid-Level)

We’re a quirky, fun, and charismatic travel insurance brand, and we’re looking for a Junior to Mid Full-stack Java Spring Developer to join our team. This role offers a great opportunity to grow your skills, gain industry experience, and develop professionally.
Your Role
- Contribute to the development of our core insurance platform, websites, and APIs using Java and the Spring Framework.
- Write SQL queries for OLTP databases, data pipelines, and the data warehouse.
- Work with ideas, requirements, bug reports, wireframes, and third-party API specs to design effective solutions.
- Build front-ends using Thymeleaf templates and REST via AJAX with Angular and React.
- Thoroughly test your work and participate in code reviews and retrospectives.
- Take ownership of your professional development with guidance from senior team members.
What We’re Looking For
- A passionate Junior developer eager to learn, code, and innovate.
- Bachelor’s degree with 12+ months of experience, or 4 years’ experience without formal qualifications.
- Strong practical Java skills and the ability to understand and use third-party frameworks.
- Broad, complementary experience and awareness of software engineering practices.
- Familiarity with other programming or scripting languages and their role in build tools.
- Ability to understand the insurance domain to build appropriate solutions.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
- A collaborative mindset and genuine care for customers and colleagues.
