Are Stopovers outside my selected countries covered?

When purchasing your policy, it is essential to specify all destinations you intend to visit. The premium charged for your policy is determined by the countries you plan to travel to.

Transit stopovers lasting less than 24 hours (where you do not leave the airport) do not need to be included, except for the USA.  If you are traveling to the USA at any point during your journey, you must include it as one of your destinations.

If your stopover involves you leaving the airport for an overnight stay, you should add this country destintation to your policy.

Cruises: For those planning a cruise, it is crucial to select the appropriate cruise region to ensure coverage in the countries you will be visiting. Additionally, you will need to add the Cruise Pack to your policy. More information can be found on our cruise travel insurance page.

These guidelines help ensure that your travel insurance policy accurately reflects your itinerary, providing you with the necessary coverage during your travels.
