Excellent Service and Value for Money

I phoned for a quote. The product knowledge of the operator was excellent. Certainly value for money having peace of mind that your covered no matter what.

Fast, easy, well priced, very convenient having details and contacts sent via text and email. Have recommended to many friends and would use 1Cover again . The one year cover is a good deal for frequent travellers.

I wouldnt leave town without it...

Having used travel insurance every year for overseas travel, this is definately one that I would highly recommend to all of my friends. It is easy to claim with them as well as get in touch with them for any reason necessary.

Stepped up when I needed them

I was evacuated and hospitalised when I was travelling overseas. I was concerned that I may not have adequate cover when this was taking place and the cost I would have to bear. I was pleased that 1Cover stepped up to the policy that I took out and promptly settled payment directly with the health care providers. It made it easy for me which I was thankful for. One minor critisisim is that the communication could have been a bit better when I first made contact to alert them of the impending claim. That would have got them a 10 out of 10. But overally, very happy and would definitely use again and I highly recommend.

Worse Travel Insurance - Keeps delaying claims, rude, and won't pay for honest claims

With my daughter traveling around UK and Europe on her own it took me a long time to select a travel insurance that would ensure she was cover, being covered by alliance I was sure this company would be respectable. How wrong could I be.

My daughter was staying at a Hostel in Wales, she left her personal belongings out of sight under her bed. The next day she found that her camera had been stolen overnight. She did all the right things by contacting the reception, calling the police and obtaining a police report. I had to console my daughter over the phone as this camera is the reason why she is traveling. She had saved for years for this trip and camera. I reassured her over the phone that it would be ok and that is why we purchased Travel Insurance.

How wrong can a mother be, this company refuses to pay based on "she left her camera in a public place". After asking the same questions 3 times - yes having to wait 10 working days each time, this is the answer they came back with. I then disputed the claim in which I had to wait another 5 working days (which actually took them 6) to say that her bed is a public place. Well I don't know about you, but calling my 18 year olds bed a public place is beyond a joke. How dare they call my daughters bed a public place.

They have been beyond rude on the phone, have only had one nice lady talk to me and said she also found it quite unusual to call a bed a public place.

I would be very careful if you think you will be covered by this insurance company if you lose or have an item stolen as they class everything as a public place and that is how they get out of paying. I would agree with them if she had been careless and left her belongings in the common area, but this is where she slept. She has not only been violated by someone taking something where she slept but also by 1Cover Travel Insurance, which seriously is not worth anything.

For those that have written good reviews on this company, thank god you have not had to claim. I had called them before taking this claim and they had assured me this camera would be covered, it's the only reason why we purchased this insurance.

for anyone that is in the same boat as me, I will be taking this to the FOS, the more people that complain the better, we need to put a stop to companies such as these that take advantage over people. It's no wonder why people do not trust Insurance Companies.

DISGUSTING

PAY MORE WITH ANOTHER COMPANY TO GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. THEY ARE QUICK TO TAKE YOUR MONEY, BUT WON'T PAY A VALID CLAIM. I AM NEVER GOING TO RECOMMEND ANY 1 TO THIS MOB OR ALLIANZ WHO ARE THEIR BACKERS.

Last minute Cover

I forgot to arrange travel insurance for my overseas trip, and I only remembered the need at the last minute while I was at the airport. I found an Internet kiosk and I was able to quickly arrange coverage. Very easy.

I will never go with 1Cover again.

As a frequent traveller, I have always selected 1Cover to be my travel insurance provider. I found them to be competitive in price and helpful on the phone (well, the sales department anyway). This trip is the first time that I have ever had to call them with an issue. My partner suffered from a fall on our trip and the response we got when we called 1Cover was absolutely disgusting. We were treated like criminals and made to feel as if it were our fault that my partner was quite badly injured. The "customer service representative" snapped that our claim may be covered, but they would have to assess that and seemed irritated that we had even called. Apparently, comprehensive insurance for "unlimited medical cover" doesn't really apply when it comes to an actual issue. The last thing you want when you are in a foreign country, in pain and uncertain of what to do next is to be treated like that. The solution? We hung up on 1Cover and went to the Emergency Department of the country we were in. It was the best decision we made. We were treated with respect and kindness, and were fortunate enough to receive the treatment for free. My only regret is paying out $500 to 1Cover for non-existent travel insurance (plus thousands of dollars for previous trips). Their response to our frightening situation was absolutely disgusting. 1Cover may look good on paper, but they certainly do not keep their promises.

Another successful trip

Fifth time I have used 1Cover. Easy quoting, convenient passport-sized policy document, nice follow up emails and SMS before I left and once I had returned making sure everything was OK and providing instructions on how to make a claim if I needed to. I have never claimed, though getting a policy and feeling looked after earns them 5 stars. Definitely recommend.

Great cover, simple sign up process

It takes less than 5 minutes to sign up, very comparable cover, great value for money. I feel very secure knowing everything is covered. Recommend for travel anywhere in the world.

Extremely Poor Customer Service

I bought the travel insurance and had an incident during my travel. I claim it on my Travel Insurance and I was treated like I am a victim and Allianz provide really a sheer example of poor customer service and providing different answers from different representatives.

SCAM!!! DO NOT USE THIS INSURANCE COMPANY THEY ARE USELESS

My phone was stolen out of my bag at a bar when we were celebrating a friends birthday. We had personal security guards and were surrounded by close friends. They said that I neglected to take care of my bag and they will not cover the cost of the stolen phone. WARNING WHAT IS THE POINT OF GETTING TRAVEL INSURANCE. Also HOW DARE YOU ACCUSE ME OF NEGLECTING MY THINGS! There are professional thieves working out there and I am always wary of my presence in environments and also my belongings. They failed to send the reply email to the correct email address and I had to chase them up. And the staff are rude and have a attitude problem.

First Rate Help from Mel of 1 Cover - Amazing

Recently I was involved with a serious medical claim originating in Whistler, Canada, which was going pear shaped very very quickly. Claims team at Allianz can only be described as disgraceful and possibly bordering on negligent, making an extremely traumatic experience even worse. However, once Mel from 1 Cover intervened the whole situation turned around within a matter of hours; as a consequence Allianz reconsidered their treatment of the injured party and met their obligations. I cannot sing Mel's praises high enough and hope her employers know what an amazing employee they have in her! Best Insurance

I had bought 1Cover for my travel insurance, When I travel to Canada and New Zealand, luckily I did not have to claim anything but it was peace of mind.

Claim for Overseas Travel

After getting travel insurance every time I go overseas this was the first time I've ever had to make a claim. Everything was perfect, very easy to make a claim and it was dealt with really fast. I was very happy with the service. I will be using 1Cover again for my next trip!!!!

Great Insurance for elderly

Being 90 years of age most insurances don't want to know you. But with 1Cover there was no problem and people were very helpful with my application. Of course there are restrictions and limitations, up to the individual to decide.
My claim was promptly attended to.
Very happy with 1Cover.

Used 1Cover for trip to europe

Used 1 cover for my trip to europe last year, was reasonably priced and provided pretty good cover for anything that could go wrong. Will use them again for future trips.
