I have chosen 1Cover for both of my recent overseas trips. Both trips have been a little different to typical backpacking or overseas travel. We've been driving either bought or rented vehicles through many countries over many months, well of normal tourist routes in both Africa and Central Asia. So before buying travel insurance for these trips I had to carefully study PDSs from several companies and call the companies to clarify exactly what would be covered and what wouldn't. The result of the research and discussions was that 1Cover provides excellent insurance and every time I've called or emailed them they've answered my questions clearly and concisely with no wasted time.

Have been using 1 cover for over a year now, and just recently got the frequent traveller annual cover. Have made 2 claims due to disrupted travel and had no problems what so ever with the claim. They were very fast and easy to deal with compared to any insurance I have ever dealt with. Hence why I got the annual cover

My wife and I have travel insured a lot for much of past sixteen years without making a claim. We've always been suspicious of insurance, not worth making small claims, but kept insured in case of a catastrophic event. Even when that happened recently we were not expecting much from our insurer. But what a surprise, 1Cover were absolutely wonderful to deal with, they helped us a lot and did not hesitate in paying our bills quickly or reimbursing us quickly. Total cost to 1Cover was many tens of thousands of dollars, all hospitals, surgery, radiology, physio, rental cars incl. fuel purchased, return air flights upgrades, and all associated motels and accommodation costs were covered without any argument. We switched to 1 Cover beacuse of my husbands age and we had to pay extra for an existing medical condition which is nearly 20 years old and has never been a problem in all the years of travelling but the easy of the claim after my fall and promptness of payment was very fast and efficient. Will definitely use 1 Cover again

I have been using 1Cover travel insurance for many years. I usually travel twice a year to EU. Even that I never had any claims, their customer service is great and good value for many. I only wish they offered customer loyalty discount for us returning customers, but they don't. Pitty

1Cover website easy to negotiate. Cover is priced well compared to some others but the test is how they handle a claim and that fortunately I haven't had to deal with yet.

Half way through my holiday to N.Z I was unfortunately hospitalised for a week with Pancreatitis. The team at 1Cover took care of everything for me, even daily calls to see how i was recovering. Disappointed - my baggage was delayed 48 hours so had to shop for essentials to get by. Inconvenienced - unable to do as much as planned. My walking shoes were in baggage and although I did some walking the only shoes I travelled in caused a lot of foot discomfort. !Cover said I was not covered for delayed baggage - only lost baggage. If it was lost for those 48 hours I assume I could have claimed.

I was honest with 1cover and told them about the tests I had last year for atrial fibrillation, results were no fault found, but 1 cover still over charged me and set the excess way too high and coverage way too low. I will be retracting my recommendations I have given to my friends and will not consider ever using 1 cover again
