Had issues with my bank and was not able to withdraw my money. Contacted 1Cover to obtain some cash just until the bank sorts itself out. This was rejected. Not sure why as I had the comprehensive insurance cover.

Our emergency case manager was outstanding! Our first time making a claim after 20 years of international skiing. Reached out to Cover 1 for advice and our case manager took lead - providing advice on medical in country (torn ACL), and then organising medically appropriate travel home (based on their medical team advice). She followed up at several points to make sure we were okay. Outstanding customer service! The claims team were great and covered all costs associated with the injury in country.

The claims process was what I expected, I provided the documentation and within a short amount of time 1 Cover advised me of the outcome of my claim. Fortunately we didn't need to use our cover for our trip to Singapore but to ensure that we were properly covered, we did need to disclose a pre-existing but non serious medical condition. The process was very easy and made us comfortable in the knowledge that a claim would not be declined due to non disclosure, should the need for a medical claim arise.

Insurance is easy to obtain online, we also take it out when travelling. Fortunately we've never needed it, I would hope they perform well when needed. The cost is high, i've travelled twice this year and the premiums have surpassed my annual cost for house insurance.
