What Happens If I Miss My Flight Or If Flights are Delayed/Cancelled?

In the first instance, you should contact the airline to see if any alternate arrangement can be made or if any compensation may be offered. You should retain any documentation provided by the airline or receipts for any out-of-pocket expenses which you may incur as a result of the delay or cancellation so that you can submit them should you need to make a claim. We do not cover for cancellation, delays or rescheduling which are at the fault of the airline as the responsibility falls on the transport provider to supply you with the services you have paid them for. What if my luggage is lost or delayed by my airline?

We will reimburse you up to $250 if any items of your Luggage & Personal Effects are delayed, misdirected or misplaced by a carrier for more than 12 hours. We do not cover for any loss or damage to items after you have checked them into the hold and until you have collected them again from the luggage conveyor as the transport carrier is at fault for their loss or damage and you should seek compensation from them. What Happens If I Get Sick Or Injured Overseas?

If you’re travelling internationally, 1Cover offers Emergency Medical Assistance anywhere in the world, 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. If you’re sick or injured, we advise that you or a member of your travelling party call our medical assistance team as soon as possible.

For minor ailments, such as those that only require a GP visit, you may choose to visit a doctor, pay for your visit upfront, and then submit your claim either from overseas or once you return home. Make sure that you keep all receipts and reports from your treating doctor, including the diagnosis and treatment notes and any other documents.

What if i ride a scooter or Motorcycle overseas?

Can I extend my policy online?

Yes, if your policy hasn’t yet expired, you can extend your policy via the Policy Manager. If you log in and aren’t able to extend for some reason, you can get in contact with our friendly call centre

What Happens If I Need To Cancel My Trip?

If you need to cancel your trip, notify any travel providers (airlines, accomodation, tour providers, etc) of your intention to cancel.

Make sure you check whether your travel providers will refund you. Sometimes, they will return deposits, fares, etc., depending on when you cancel and what your original contract states.

If you aren’t reimbursed, then check the certificate of insurance and the PDS to see whether your circumstances are covered.

Once you have done this, and you intend to claim, you’ll need to obtain and supply confirmations, refund advices, and terms and conditions. We request these for lodgement of your claim

What Do I Do In The Case Of A Theft?

A theft while you’re away is incredibly unsettling, but to substantiate your claim, you’ll need to report the theft to the police or nearest local authority within 24 hours of the incident and obtain a written report that can to be used as supporting documents.

Make sure that the police report you obtain is an official one, and that all the items that have been stolen are clearly detailed. You’ll also need to capture the circumstances surrounding the event. Remember, the more information on the report, the better.

When you submit your claim, you’ll also need to provide proof of purchase and/or ownership in relation to the stolen items.

The promotion:

  1. Information on how to enter the “2025 Toyota AFL Grand Final Tickets Giveaway” promotion (“Promotion”) and the prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. If you did not consent to participate in this promotion at the time of automatic entry, or if you later choose not to agree with the terms outlined below, you may withdraw your entry at any time by contacting us at [email protected] and your entry will be excluded.
  2. The Promotion is promoted by 1Cover Pty Ltd (1Cover) ABN 91 105 954 265), an Authorised Representative of Coffre-Fort Pty Ltd ABN 66 125 358 518 AFS License No 472457 located at Level 1, 332 Kent Street, Sydney, NSW, 2000 ("Promoter").
  3.  This Promotion commences at 12:01 am AEST on 15/07/2025 and final entries close at 11:59pm AEST on 26/08/2025 (“Promotional Period”).

The Prize:

  1. Total prize pool, worth $4,795 consists of:
  • Two (2) 2025 Toyota AFL Grand Final Tickets – Reserved seats only
  • Two (2) Tickets to St Kilda Football Club’s 2025 Grand Final Brunch
  • One (1) night stay for 2 guests at the Langham, Melbourne
  1.  It is the responsibility of the winner to arrange their own travel to, and, if necessary, additional accommodation at the prize location.
  2. The winner is responsible for all other expenses including but not limited to food, drinks, incidental and any insurances where necessary.
  3. There is one (1) draw and prize to be won.
  4. Valid entries into the draw will be selected from policies purchased between the Promotional Period (open and close) based on Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST).
  5. The draw will take place at Level 1, 332 Kent Street, Sydney, NSW, 2000 on 29/08/2025 at 11:00 am AEST.  In the event that an invalid or ineligible entrant is drawn, the Promoter may draw additional reserve entries and record them in order.
  6. The Winner will be notified by email and phone within two (2) business days of the relevant draw, and their first initial, surname and postcode will be published online at www.1cover.com.au/competition-winners/.
  7. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  8. The Winner will win 2 tickets to the 2025 Toyota AFL Grand Final, 2 seats at the St Kilda Grand Final brunch, and a 1 night stay for 2 in the Langham Hotel, Melbourne, awarded to the winner being the named policyholder of the Eligible Product.
  9. Subject to the unclaimed prize draw, if for any reason a winner does not take a prize (or part of a prize) within fourteen (14) days of the draw, then the prize (or that part of the prize) will be forfeited.
  10. The transfer of the prize will happen within 30 days of the draw subject to the policy cooling off period being complete and the correct details being supplied.
  11.  If the prize (or part of any prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
  12.  Prizes, or any unused portion of a prize, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash, unless specified otherwise.
  13. The two (2) 2025 Toyota AFL Grand final tickets are subject to the supplier and venue T&C's.
  14.  If any prize(s) remain unclaimed within fourteen (14) days of the draw, a re-draw for any such prizes will take place fourteen (14) days after the initial draw at the same place as the original draws, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. This draw will take place on 12/09/2025 at 11am AEST. Winners, if any, will be notified by email and telephone within (2) business days of the unclaimed prize draw and their first initial, surname and post code will be published online at www.1Cover.com.au/competition-winners/.
  15.  1Cover has:
    - No liability for any act, omission or default, whether negligent or otherwise of any third party. 
    - No liability for any loss or damage occasioned by any negligent act or omission of any third party. 
    - Where 1Cover’s liability cannot be excluded, such liability is limited to the value of the prize. 

Entry terms

  1. An eligible product means a 1Cover travel insurance policy purchased during the Promotional Period ("Eligible Product"). 
  2. Entry is only open to residents of Australia aged 18 years or over.
  3. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with this Promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
  4. Valid entries:
  1. Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.
    b. If an individual instructs cancellation of their travel insurance policy, their entry will immediately be removed from the competition and they will no longer be eligible to win unless they purchase another Eligible Product.
    c. Only fully paid policies will automatically go in the prize draw.
  1. Multiple entries permitted, subject to the following:
    1. Only one (1) entry permitted per Eligible Product purchased; and
    2.  A maximum of one (1) prize per region Australia.
    3. South Australian residents are excepted from this clause.
  2.  Entry conditions are subject to the regulations and laws of the State of entry to the draw.
  3. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the entry process engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the Promotion. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
    10. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.

General

  1. Please note all unclaimed prizes are dealt with in accordance with Australian Lottery regulations.
  2. Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this Promotion (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
  3.  If this Promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Promotion, as appropriate.
  4.  Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and continue sentence Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the States and Territories of Australia or any statutory consumer guarantees as provided under consumer protection laws in New Zealand (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion.
  5.  Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) and its prize suppliers are not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) taking/use of and/or participation in a prize.

Entry is conditional on providing this data. The Promoter will also use and handle data as set out in their Privacy Policy, . which can be viewed at https://www.1cover.com.au/privacy (for Australian residents. In addition to any use that may be outlined in their Privacy Policy, the Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the data for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrants.
