Getting travel insurance for a 5-day trip was just too easy purchasing with 1Cover. Their policy covered Hire Car Excess to a higher amount than the hire car company wanted - for less than two days worth of their "excess reduction" charge... I injured myself overseas and was advised by the hospital to have my leg elevated on my return flight to as to reduce any swelling and protect my wound. Upon contacting ICover, I was given an upgrade on my flight and there was no swelling. ICover were very professional, prompt and dealt with my case in a time manor. Carolyn

I've emailed the claims dept as my tooth was crack and part of my dentures broken when i eat an almond nut. Due to my hectic itinerary, i did not have it pulled out overseas as it's still manageable although very inconvenient in chewing. When i arrive in Sydney, get told that it's not covered.

Lost a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses prior to leaving Barcelona and didn't discover this until we were on the plane. On our return submitted a claim and provided a receipt of approx $350 for a replacement. With excess etc would probably expect to get $100 to $150 back. I paid a premium of $467 for cover. Your claims area require a report from the airport (already left) and the original receipt (who keeps receipts for sunglasses) I used your company before but will never use again.

Having fallen ill on holiday i found the customer service and claims process to be fairly straight forward. Support was adequate however i didn't get a respond regarding an upgrade on my ticket. The 14hrs + flight time took its toll. I was off work on returning home for 4 days and still recovering from my illness. Faster response on queries, decisions on upgrading flight and advise on local practitioners would have been helpful. Processing is fast and efficient. Overall i am satisfied. Thanks Yusuf

Because I am a fit and active person I usually resent having to pay a higher and higher amount each year because of a number (my age). Of course the excess for health claims was very high, but I took the risk that as a normal healthy person with no pre-existing health problems and I'm careful how I move I should not have to claim,so all was well.

The 1cover website to obtain quotation was fast and easy to complete. Policy benefits were adequate for the trip and the PDS is pretty straight forward. Good to also receive a follow up email toward the end of the trip asking if an extension of cover was required - nice touch.
