I have been overseas quite a lot over the years and have been covered by a number of different providers. I'd only recommend 1Cover because I know they deliver on claims. I was stuck in Europe and had to cancel heaps of tours and flights because of the ash cloud. Thankfully, 1Cover fully reimbursed these expenses. I would have been out of pocket $5k or so.

I never thought I would ever write an email to an insurance company thanking them... but I feel that I must. I have been so pleasantly surprised at how great you have been to deal with at every step. It was cheap and easy to get cover. Whilst we were overseas my 6 child needed to be flown back to home for a medical assessment. The staff on the phone were helpful, compassionate and never once questioned things based on price. It was a stressful time and I found them lovely to deal with and seemed genuinely concerned for my son and I. After arriving back home and putting a claim in, you processed my claim without a whole lot of questions. Clare Batten

I have been using 1Cover for a number of years and have just had to make a claim for the first time. Unfortunately I broke my ankle prior to my trip , and from my initial inquiry to final payment in FULL of my claim 1Cover staff kept me fully informed. I was so disappointed to have to cancel my travel , yet so thrilled to be FULLY repaid because of my insurance. I will be recommending 1Cover to all my travelling friends and will definitely insure with them again.

I used 1 Cover for the first time when booking a Vietnam Meekong River Cruise at the recommendation of my travel agent. Unfortunately my husband had to have a hip replacement and after having a very unpleasant experience with the tour provider the service and understanding I received when initially reporting acclaim and at every stage through to final payment of the claim was handled in a caring and exemplary manner.. I am extremely impressed with 1 cover and will always use and recommend them in future

In May 2012 I used 1Cover for travel insurance for a three week Bali trip. Not only was their product the best value for money by far, their web site is very user friendly. My trip was incident free, but it was good to know I had a reputable company behind me in case of an emergency. But the fabulous news was that on my return to Perth in early June, a cheque for $500 was waiting for me a I had won the daily 'dosh' draw from 1Cover! Needless to say I will be using 1Cover in the future and will recommend to friends and family that are looking for travel insurance. V. Stuart Perth

I have used 1Cover a few times but had never had to claim until this year. I was to take my two grandchildren along with my niece to Fiji when shortly before we were due to go I had a really unfortunate accident and was hospitalised for two months. It was some time before I was able to make the claim for airfares, accommodation etc, but when I did there was absolutely no problem. !Cover was just so helpful, I would always use them and recommend them to anyone.

On my recent holiday to USA I unfortunately became ill and required medical attention and medication. When I returned home I emailed 1 Cover to enquire about the process to make a claim. They immediately sent me a claim form which I filled out and returned with the necesarry receipts. The claim was processed immediately and the payment was made promptly. The customer service I received was excellent and I would have no hesitation in recommending 1 Cover to all my friends and I will definately be using them for my next trip. Colleen B

I recently made a travel insurance claim for an extremely unusual reason. Not having made a travel insurance claim before I had fairly low expectations about being re-imbursed and the level of service I would recieve. I was pleasantly surprised with the level of service and speed of payment. Great customer service, focused, kept me informed and prompt payment. Happy to recommend 1Cover for any travel needs. Will certainly continue using them in future.

I have used 1 cover twice now, and unfortunately have twice had to make a claim. Getting sick and having issues with hire cars is enough stress without the hassle of worrying if your travel insurance will cover you, and how hard it will be to make a claim. The service team at 1 cover were amazing, and the claims process was effortless, even though I was making a claim from overseas. I would recommend them to all of my friends, and will always use them in the future.

Very disappointed with 1Cover. Have been using for many years but now I am over 60 they want to screw me for an extra $100 compared to under 60. Have lost this customer now as others are more competitive . Classic discrimination case.

Once they know you it gets easier and easier. Don't forget they are also good for Oz travel insurance, especially if you hire a car or camper van. Although we have never made a claim I am sure they would step up and pay. But I hope we never find out!!

I got a super deal for an annual multi-trip policy with 1Cover through living social in December. The deal came through just when I needed it and was slightly cheaper than the standard multi-trip. I phoned them to clarify a few details before purchasing and the staff seemed to know their stuff. Best thing is I'm covered Worldwide for any holidays I take for the rest of the year. I'll post again if I have any claims experience in the future.

On my last trip to London with my family, I lost my laptop. Since the trip was covered under the 1Cover insurance plan, I had faith that I would recover my money, if not the important data in my laptop. I immediately called on their emergency number but all my efforts were in vain. Their number was continuously busy and even after leaving a recorded complaint, I met with no response. Finally, after returning, two weeks of repeated calls and complaints have ensured that I got my money back.

Some of my friends and I were going on a long vacation. However, my backpack got stolen. All my clothes were in my backpack. I immediately contacted 1Cover and they paid for my clothes. The promptness with which they responded and ensured that I get access to most of the belongings lost is appreciable. Thereafter, I could continue with my trip with no more hurdles.
