Their website is intuitive, even for this baby boomer, making finding the right policy simple.
With recent health changes, finding cover for a recent trip was more complicated, but 1 Cover came up trumps allowing me to travel with confidence.

We booked the cover for a US trip. 2nd day with the hire vehicle we had a minor incident resulting in some damage to the van. We were able to talk with a consultant quite quickly to determine that we would be covered. The claiming process was simple and ended in a favourable result. The cover ended up being well worth the money.

It was easy to apply and appeared to cover what we needed for a simple domestic cover ~ partner needed extra due to hip replacement and ICover was good. We didn't need to claim, thank goodness, so unable to comment on this.

If you are like me and refuse to pay thousands of dollars for a new phone it is very likely you won't have proof of purchase for your phone (I purchased mine from a gumtree seller). My phone was stolen overseas, a claim was lodged and everything but proof of purchase was provided to the insurers yet they refuse to pay out any money (Everything else they asked for was provided - IMEI, Police report, bank statements and device location - which shows last login detail as well). Don't use them if you have a second hand phone - they are no help.

We always pick Cover 1 for our travel insurance. We have rarely used the cover available. But it is the assurance we need when overseas and things could happen. The price and ease when taking out the insurance will keep us coming back again and again.

I already got this insurance twice, I chose because it has quite popular in Australia. Fortunately, I didn't have any claim but I think only when you need to do that you can know how much the insurance is good enough. So, the best thing to do is looking for reviews of those people who needed to, and make sure if there is a good percentage of people who are satisfied with this company.

My mother died the day before i was set to cruise. I called to cancel and claim the costs of the cruise back and was told it would not be allowed as my.mother was over 85 years old. Very disappointed.

I was surprised to find not all travel insurance policy covered cruising. This was a recommended policy and was cheaper than my usual company so I took out the coverage after reading the specs. Seemed good value but luckily I had no need to test the claims experience. Provide cover for rental car which was important with my trip.

Could add LDW insurance for US car rentals. I had to purchase this separately through another provider and would have preferred an option to purchase through 1 cover.
