No cover for coronavirus even though ins purchased early

How do insurance companies get away with denying cover when traveller buys insurance in good faith? Makes a mockery of taking out insurance when company can find any reason to invalidate. 1 rating as ins is useless.

Easy Experience

Did not need to claim however did need to make some inquiries due to an injury just before our holiday and a lovely lady from 1cover was able to send me all the information I needed. Very professional.

Not looking after you in the long run

As soon as the COVID-19 virus hit Icover were ducking for cover and letting you know that they don't cover for any form of infection. Totally poor in my view.

Over the past 15 years we have made three claims with 1Cover: 1 cancelling prior to a trip for medical reasons, 2. for assistance while travelling and 3. for a motor vehicle claim after returning home. In all three cases we couldn't fault 1Cover. They were prompt, sympathetic, helpful, efficient and paid claims in full. We would not insure with anyone else. Our most recent claim was processed within a week. We have been recommending them to everyone for years and will continue to do so.

Fantastic to deal with

I just went on my first overseas trip with my kids. Never made a claim before. Of course traveling with kids, accidents happen. My daughter required sutures abroad. When we got hone put the claim in and everything was approved within 30mins. So easy to deal with. Definitely recommend

Fantastic Level of Service

1 Cover was exceptional in dealing with my Claim regarding my Sons Medical Emergency whilst in Canada. I contacted 1 Cover when my Son fell ill , from Canada and had a Case Manager who helped me through a Very Stressful Time . My claim was evaluated and approved within 2 days . Fantastic Level of Service which means I will be using 1 Cover for my Preferred Travel Insurance in the Future .

Legitimate claim

I recently submitted a legitimate claim because my wife got sick overseas and as a result we had to cancel an organised tour. After submitting claim to One Cover they settled the claim no fuss within a couple of days reimbursing us for the full cost of the tour, cancelled flight plus medical expenses. I cannot praise them enough for the way they handled the claim.

Excellent communication from my case manager Jayson. He handled all my requests with the uttermost professionalism and provided me the necessary information I needed to provide for my claim. Very pleased with 1Cover, I have always used them with my travels and will continue to use them.

cruise with islands cancelled

was not happy with our island where cancelled my friends have 1cover and they have been told they are not covered for it. we took out cover before this virus happened and no one had the virus on the cruise ship they stopped us from coming to the island because 2 people had the flue

Great insurance at a great cost

Each time I travel overseas or hire a car within Australia, I take out 1Cover insurance. Thankfully I have only ever needed to make 1 claim. That claim was settled, without any issues within 3 days of me submitting it. I was exceptionally impressed and can recommend this insurance!

The claim I did for a stolen item was quick and easy! I would use this insurance again the next time I travel!
Only issue is the customer support they pass you on different person every response and I found it confusing.

Value for Money Insurance - Swift Claims Process

I have insured my travel on a number of occasions with 1 Cover, but have never made or had to make a claim, and have always felt it was money well spent. During my latest travel, I had an incident for which I thought I'd submit a claim. The lodgement was straight forward, though the associated uploading of documents required to be submitted process I found to be cumbersome and somewhat 'dated'. Notwithstanding, once done, the claims communication was outstanding and the claim was settled extremely quickly. My claims officer, Mark, was right on the ball and made the process a completely stress-less.

Throughout the claim 1Cover were fantastic. Very helpful and supportive through the claims process. Made sure that all elements of the claim were covered and accounted for.

Useless travel inaurance

We bought the travel insurance (with cruise insurance) early January for our honeymoon and mid feb, our cruise decided to divert Which made us miss 2 ports of call and arrive to another final destination. Being out of pocket thousands due to new airplane tickets. Long story short, they don't want to cover because some news published a “coronavirus” article early January...
