I had great support from customer service and fuss on my claim. I will not hesitate to tell friends and family to use 1cover for travel insurance

This company should be called NO COVER!

Hang on to your money and avoid this company like a pandemic. Paid extra cover for my son with an existing medical condition to be covered for a Europe trip for June 2020. Our policy was taken out in December 2019. Spent $780 for 6 weeks to not be covered anything relating to Coronavirus as excluded from their policy
I'm now looking at canceling our trip or rescheduling for next year. Airlines are changing their policies by waiving fees for date changes and travel vouchers for those wanting to cancel. 1Cover are not interested in assisting their customers even if wanting to make changes to travel dates, except if you pay for a new policy.
They are not answering phones nor responding to callbacks. I can just imagine if needed to make a claim how terrible their service would be.
Leave negative feedback if you have experienced similar experience wanting to cancel or change dates. 1Cover needs to be more accommodating to their customers in this unprecedented event.
My printed policy will be used as a substitute for toilet paper.

An unsatisfying experience

I took out a comprehensive travel policy for one year to support me in my global travel. When my laptop was stolen from my luggage in Vancouver, 1Cover found some PDS "fine print" to wriggle out of paying for my $1,500 claim. Then my entire bag was stolen in Mexico a few months later. Again, 1Cover found policy wording to support a non-payment for my claim. This was eventually overturned when I made a formal complaint, and I received some reimbursement. Both of these claim experiences gave me serious doubts about the coverage of my policy, especially if I was to need medical treatment while travelling. I lost a lot of sleep worrying that I wouldn't be covered by 1Cover if I fell sick during my six month journey through Central America. Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend 1Cover, and I've been letting lots of other travellers know of what happened to me with this company.

Waste of time and money

Travel cancelled as policy voided by pandemic. 1cover kept ALL money, uncontactable for 10 days, never replied calls/emails. RIP OFF!!!!

Easy and Fast Claim Process

Amazing support when we had to cancel our holiday due to unexpected redundancy. Staff were helpful, fast and efficient with our claim. We have used 1Cover on many of our trips and will continue to do so. Recommend to everyone.

Hassle Free Claim

After getting ill recently on my holiday, I incurred large medical expenses. I put in a claim online (quick and easy), not expecting to be paid. But within days, I received an email, advising me that my full amount (less excess) was being paid. Will definitely be using 1Cover for my next holiday!!

Excellent service

1cover have been wonderful assisting with our claim. Everyone we have had dealings with have been friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend.

Insurance claim - illness

I was very impressed with 1 Travels quick responses when I made my claim. I don't usually give a positive rating to insurance companies, but 1 Travel is the exception.

Claim Difficulties

We found 1Cover available to our phone call. We filled in the online form without problems, but had a problem trying to attach our various forms we were requested to attach to the online form. That may have been the form, or it may have been my capabilities on the computer. On phoning and explaining my problem i was given an email address I could attach the forms to. So much easier than the form. So I took photo's of each form and then sent them to my email and forwarded them on to 1 Cover.
Within approx a week they have confirmed our payment, although that could take up to 2 weeks to come through into our bank account.

Highly recommended.

This was the first time I had used 1Cover and I am most impressed. The website was easy to use, very competitive rates and when it came to making a claim due to a broken leg, the claim was settled quickly with no complications. I will use this company again and recommend it to others.

Will never choose 1 cover again

Statement policy emailed listed a $100 excess, they then doubled it when making a claim due to injury from skiing. Does not make it clear for purchasers.

Bought travel insurance back in November for any unforeseen circumstances such as Covid
Sorry we don’t cover Pandemics but we will keep your money goodbye ! Every other insurance company is covering if you took the policy out prior to Covid. not 1 Cover the most Un Australian Brand. Be careful

Excellent Travel Insurance

My wife and I have taken out an Annual Travel Insurance Policy with 1Cover for many years and had reason to make a claim in 2020. The process was extremely easy and non complicated and my claim was processed in a couple of weeks (they were extremely busy due to the coronavirus), with the money appearing in my account a few days later.

Excellent service and a great travel insurance company.

After a very unfortunate accident i had whilst on holidays i was hospitalised needing surgery 1 cover insurance were there for me I cannot thank them enough.
They were very quick with payments regarding my hospital stay and surgery and would always follow up to see if i was ok, in my opinion without a doubt the best insurance company there is and i will keep using them and referring them for future holiday insurance

Smooth claim

I always get travel insurance. I have used different brands in the past. I have only had to claim twice in approx 15 yrs of travel, and both times it was with 1Cover, and both times they processed the claim really quickly and smoothly. It was simple to upload all my receipts on their page and I was really happy with the whole experience. I recommend them!

I lodged my claim for reimbursement of medical expenses incurred on a recent trip to Italy and received confirmation of claim acceptance within same day. Payment is due within 14 days.

When applying to be covered for travel, customer service is so helpful and polite!!

When applied for a claim, customer service was so considerate and understanding! They explained to me exactly what I needed to do without judging me or makeing me feel stupid!!
