1 Cover hid behind "Fine print" to reject a travel claim. We cancelled a holiday to Bali as my mother in law suddenly became ill and my wife needed to travel to South Africa urgently. We claimed loss of accomodation in Bali. 1Cover said it would not entertain claim because my mother-in-law lived overseas. I read the main summary points on coverage of the policy, which said nothing about family being overseas. I will never use 1 Cover again

I was happy with return response time regarding my claim. 1 Cover covered my expenses except the $200.00. I personally think that's a bit excessive but I guess most insurance companies do the same or similar.

It's a little difficult to provide a full review as I did not need to make a claim (which ultimately no one wants to unless they need to). However the process to purchase the 1Cover travel insurance was extremely straight forward and completively priced. It is for that reason we have continued to choose 1Cover.

We have used 1Cover on numerous occasions and we have had to claim a couple of times. We find the claim process very easy and the claim payments are always made very quickly. When we purchase the insurance online it is very easy & we find that the premiums for the cover is always cheaper than other insurance companies. Thanks once again

I inadvertently only added one of two medication receipts to my original claim. I emailed 1cover. It wasn't an issue. Could send details through. It was received and acted upon very quickly.

I have used 1Cover Travel Insurance for many years now and have always had good service.
My last cover was for a long (35 days) cruise. This time we had medical treatment which was expensive. At the end of the cruise I made a claim to 1Cover and they processed this claim in less than one week which was excellent.

I phoned the claims department and explained my situation that I wasn’t able to travel to my destination due to the situation over Israel and the person that I talk too addressed immediately to the sales team. I was very relieved that I chose 1Cover on a recent holiday to far North Queensland.
I had the unfortunate experience of having my holiday unit broken into and my Hire car keys stolen, and then the car stolen and driven into the ground.
1Cover gave me all the information I needed to make my claim, and when I had questions gave me prompt, reassuring replies.
I've since had my claim approved and been reimbursed thousands of dollars I'd paid to the hire car company.
I'm so appreciative and would highly recommend this company.

Due to sudden illness we couldn't travel, when we placed the travel insurance claim we received a speedy reply, the language and emphathy detected put our concerns at easy, the claim consultants were excellent keeping us informed of the claim progress.

I feel at ease when I travel knowing that 1 cover is there to support me if I need it. I have had to make 2 claims in the past 10 years and the process was so easy. 1 cover was easy to deal with and covered all of my out of expenses. I wouldn’t choose anyone else to take out travel insurance with.

Claim was made for a missed flight resulting in needing to buy a new ticket and that was not paid. What's the point paying for travel insurance when it wasn't covered.

After supplying all the relevant paperwork required to support my claim, it was reviewed and I had an answer with a week. The claim was then paid a couple of days later. Everything was went as smooth as possible. Would highly recommend 1Cover based on my experience.

We took out a comprehensive policy for a long overdue holiday. After taking out the policy, medical issues arose, and the doctors advised we should change our travel dates. We put in a claim to get at least part of the expense of changing dates back through the insurance but they will not pay. They have questioned our integrity and basically made me feel like i have somehow made up the whole situation just to get money from them. I feel utterly despondent. This is the first holiday my husband and I will have had alone in more than 21 years. I was so looking forward to it. The attitude and behaviour of this company are unacceptable. I feel like i have been discriminated against and treated like i simply do not matter. Although we will still manage to take the holiday, the extra costs for the change of dates is adding up to almost what the whole holiday cost in the first place. Puts a real dampener on the excitement. I do not and will not ever recommend this company to anyone for insurance purposes.

I used to be a travel agent for 13 years pre Covid. We always sold a different insurance company but after researching 1cover and having positive feedback from a few friends who have used them we took out their cover for the first time.
My son become ill and we initially thought it was Bali belly but the doctors came out to our hotel room the morning of day 2 and couldn't find a vein to put an IV drip in we decided to take him to the hospital.
We were advised the cost could be approximately $12000 which we could have paid up front and claimed later but after a quick phone call with Melissa/Michelle ( I apologise I was very stressed and am unsure if it was Melissa or Michelle!) she advised they would send immediately confirmation to the hospital they would be covering the cost. Surgery was done a few hours later and we were constantly in contact with 1cover by them calling us to make sure he was ok and everything was taken care of.
He recovered wonderfully and 1cover continued to contact us by phone to make sure he was going well and even emailed upon our arrival back in Australia to make sure we arrived home well.
I cannot recommend them enough. The staff we talked to were caring, prompt and efficient and although I have travelled extensively over the past 27 years this was the biggest claim I have ever made ( others being lost luggage etc)
As we travel overseas twice a year I will from now on only purchase their insurance. It was also half the price of the other companies I used to use!
