Great policy at an excellent price

I use One Cover for all my local Australian travel. They cover not just the excessive car hire excess, but include the driver and passengers, luggage and belongings, third party property and persons and loads more. I will never use car hire company default insurers. Not worth the risk!

Hassle free and super fast Claims process

My daughter and I were devastated to not be able to go on a much planned trip to Bali as we got very sick. 1Cover were fantastic. So helpful and friendly. The claim process was quick and easy and from the day all information was lodged until claim was processed and paid was literally 48 hours! I was literally in awe! Excellent Turn Around Time on Claim

We recently had to make a claim against our policy for Missed Ports on a NZ cruise. We. were able to submit the claim quickly and easily via the online process. We submitted our claim with the requested supporting documents on a Monday and we were really pleased to receive approval notification on the Wednesday!!

Peace of Mind

1Cover was suggested by a friend. I did shop around and It was the cheapest and had the more coverage. So what else you can do other than choosing 1Cover.

Staff not always up to Spec

We recently had to cut our holiday as to floods in the South Island of NZ. I rang 1 Cover, was answered promptly, and courteously which was great. i indicated our policy number, and our details. However when I explained the situation, customer service officer indicated that we were only covered for medical. Initially I was very cross and left it that. However when I got home, I checked the fine print of my cover as we took out the top cover, found it appeared that we would have been covered, due to "disruption of journey". Fortunately all our accommodation, tours etc were immediately refunded by the venues, so there was no issue. However 1 Cover staff should be aware of the physical coverage of their customer's cover before making what appeared to be "Off The Cuff" decisions.
Will still take out Travel Insurance with 1 Cover, but will take policy PDF details with us, so I have the ammunition.

Medical expense claim processed & paid with 48 hours

My 3 year old daughter became sick while travelling in Thailand and we incurred minor hospital expenses. Our claim was paid within 2 days. Outstanding!

Great Customer Support

We recently lost an article on a trip to Bali. The Claim process was seamless and very supportive. We have received notification that the Claim has been approved and the claimed amount less the excess has been deposited in our account. Full marks 1 Cover.

Useless for interrupted trips, customer service unhelpful

The one time I needed assistance was when I was stranded in transit in Vietnam after the airline cancelled the connecting flight and only offered another 3 days later. Called 1cover. First, the customer service person was hardly comprehensible because of his accent. But he was dismissive anyway in an unsympathetic way. Said this was not covered. Didn't give advice about what really was covered. Kind of pointless insurance and the customer service was not at all helpful or nice.

I have insured many times with them and find them most convenient

It only takes a short time and you are covered.....even if you want to extend coverage while overseas

All around great product

We have used 1Cover twice now and even through we have never had to make a claim it was good peace of mind that we would be covered. The product was great and easy to understand. The online process was very quick and simple. We would highly recommend 1Cover and we will definitely use them again for our next holiday in May..

Claim was so easy to lodge and approved without question.

This was my first claim of travel medical insurance and I was expecting it to be complicated and to have to fight and justify my claim. My actual experience was the opposite - I am so impressed that I uploaded my claim with the supporting documents and it was so easy,but the next step was an email from 1cover advising me the claim was approved and the money out laid would be returned to my account within 14 days.
Absolutely exceeded my expectations and will renew my policy with pleasure and peace of mind.

Easy

Easy to get a quote good cover haven't had to claim yet but i can't see any problems but time will tell.

Incorrect info supplied

I took out two insurance policies for cruises to Melbourne Cup & PNG. At the time I was verbally informed there was a $3,000 excess payment for any claim associated with any pre declared medical condition (I declared that I had a pre medical condition ITP) I accepted this advised concerning the $3,000 excess. Prior to the Melbourne Cup cruise I was diagnosed with cancer that need immediate treatment, this meant that I had to cancel both cruises. When making a claim I was informed that the $3,000 excess applied to ANY medical condition that caused a claim against the insurer. In my opinion this might be technically correct but it is morally wrong with what I was told at the time of arranging insurance.

Terrible Claims Experience

Won't ever use 1Cover again - had a legitimate claim, which was only around $500 and yet they made the process incredibly difficult. The first instance was a blanket refusal and I had to quote their own pds for them to even look at the claim. Disappointing experience - but i guess not surprising given its an insurance company!!

Great Value

As a senior, finding a reasonable travel insurance company is very expensive. 1 Cover ticked all the boxes and I will continue to use them.

Lost passport

No fuss claims process. Made it quick and easy for me to apply and great customer service. Would go with these guys again.

Expensive and terrible customer support

I will never use 1cover again. We had a terrible experience. It took them for ever to review our claim and I had constantly write to them to know the status. We came back in January still waiting for a claim submitted in October!!!
