settling a claim

thank you for settling my claim,it shows that if you are honest about pre_existing conditions you will be paid out.As I have been struggling with pre_existing conditions for the last couple of years,it sure is worthwile to pay the extra to be covered even though it may add to the cost of the trip,my thought is if you cannot afford insurance,you should not travel.

To purchase Online was easy & uncomplicated.

In submitting this claim we were very wry as anything would come out of it. We were our selves very late to submit certain documents as we had deleted from our data base, so had to approach Travel agent to supply again. So it was very satisfying with the result that a missed port & car hire cost & disappointment of family to visit this port was made better with this result. Thank you.

100% Satisfaction

Right in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic I was caught overseas. 1Cover easily extended my cover. I had a rental car damage claim. 1Cover responded and approved my claim within 12 hours! Can't get better than that! I've used 1Cover several times before and obviously will continue to do so. 100% satisfaction.

Waste of money!

Chose to take out a comprehensive "cancel for any reason" policy with 1 Cover. This was in 2019 before any news of covid 19 appeared. Unfortunately it was a waste of money as it seems they are quite happy to forfeit their obligations to the customer even though it's a cancel for any reason policy. We travel multiple times a year and would continue to use this company had they looked after us. Now I will not be using them again nor will we recommend them to family, friends or colleagues. Sad thing is our friends took out a policy with a different insurer at the same time for the same holiday (as we were going together) and that company honoured their claim and paid out. Clearly that company puts customers first rather than hiding behind policy and loopholes!

Great Service.

We were kept up to date on proceedings once we lodged our claim. It did take some time but under the circumstances, being Covid-19, we have no complaints and would highly recommend 1Cover to all our family and friends.

Fine if you don't have to claim

I have used 1 cover several times and have never needed to claim.

Our cruise was cancelled due to Covid19
We were only offered a credit until 2021or a refund less "their expenses" which totalled $4600!
After the cruise was cancelled I suffered a serious knee injury which meant I could not have travelled anyway so made a claim on medical grounds.
After weeks of trying, I have yet to speak to anyone, just referred by voicemail to the web site. My emails are not answered. My request for a phone call to resolve the legitimate claim are ignored.
I will continue to pursue the claim but will never use 1 Cover again and would never recommend.
No wonder Insurance Companies have a bad name. Appalling!

Easy and good value

Easily found cover that suited me through them for a good price. Covered everything I was looking for and more yep

Fine Print without the Print

Terms and conditions do not show all requirements needed when making a claim. I wanted to claim for my stolen phone terms and conditions outlined what i needed but the claims department requested that I have my IMEI number blocked before my claim is processed. This was not outlined in terms and conditions or on their website. Getting this took over 3 months and costed me $100 and more considered if I needed my money asap. Other than that good competitive insurance, with decent response times to queries and claims.

terrible experience once you make a claim

The experience following an injury was terrible. They were slow and unhelpful, failed to organise an appropriate flight back home and then delaying reimbursement by asking for letters and documentation from the airliner.

Claim was handled promptly and with minimal hastle

Initially found it difficult to commence claim with no phone contact possible but once this was overcome claim process was easy to follow and efficient. Used the chat on-line option which was helpful. Payment was very prompt. Very comfortable with process

Cancellation of cruise

Very pleased with 1cover with my claim.
After lengthy wait on cruise company to provide document, I submitted claim and was processed very quickly.

ICover Claiming and Caring

This is the first time we had to make a major claim on travel insurance. 1Cover made this a stress free process. I submitted the claim and basically it was paid.
One service which I am really impressed with is their medical phone contact. Someone rang us to check that we were ok and to see if our medical issues had been resolved and if we needed any further assistance. The man was so reassuring and caring (sorry cant remember your name) checking that we were ok particularly in this difficult covid time. It is great to know that if I am concerned, need advice or unsure of what to do I can ring 1cover medical assistance 24 hours. That is really what you need when overseas and sick. I will definitely continue getting travel insurance with 1cover. Thank you.

Great service

We recently made a claim (on medical grounds) for a cancelled overseas trip. The claiming process was very easy online, and we were very happy with the communication with 1Cover, and with the outcome. Thankyou 1Cover.

Excellent service

I had to make a medical claim whilst stuck in NZ from Australia during lockdown. the 1Cover people could not have been more helpful, And kept me informed all the way. The process was very quick and my claim was approved within a few days of providing all my documentation. An excellent experience and I would definitely use 1 cover again.

Exceptional service - Cannot recommend highly enough

1Cover travel insurance Is extremely good value for money, they are easy to contact and incredibly focused on providing the highest level of customer service. When I had a medical emergency overseas they were extremely helpful and caring and claiming was super easy and fast- We only ever use 1Cover insurance when we travel as we know they have got our back.

Great to deal with quick and easy claims processs

Very happy to deal with 1cover. Good service quick claim result even with the Christmas break.Claim made for rental vehicle cover on travel insurance policy. Easy to lodge claim yes there was a lot of evidence to upload but that wasn't that bad just had to get it all together and upload it. kept me informed of what was happening with the process. Just remember if you have an accident to keep all of your paperwork and any evidence and invoices involved.

Saved a bunch and easy claims process!

I bought a rental car policy from this company and it was 1/3 the price that the rental company was going to charge me ($500 vs $1500) and covered more (the accident I ended up having would not have been covered by the rental company). I submitted my accident claim ($2500 worth of damage) and it was approved within 2 weeks! So glad I went with this company.

Claim for Weather Delay

We use 1Cover frequent traveler insurance every year, this year we had a huge weather delay for 3 days which cost us a significant amount in lost pre-paid accommodation and also airport transfers. I was interested to see how 1cover handled this and if it would be the typical insurance nightmare. Much to my surprise, I summitted the claim online, added the documents required and a few days later received the approved claim, no asking for more info, no trying to wiggle their way out of it or the typical if's and buts of an insurance company. Super happy with our first claim with 1cover and will continue to buy travel insurance from them for sure.
