Easy and straightforward

Easy online, straight forward process, value for money. Not complicated, reliable, offering support via email and text. Peace of mind. Highly recommended.

Trip to Bali, two grandparents with one grandchild.

We found 1Cover easy to deal and most helpful whilst we were in Indonesia after suffering with some Bali Belly. It was not serious, however definitely uncomfortable.
On out return to Sydney we submitted all costs to 1Cover and only after a short interval they have been approved for reimbursement.
We will definitely use 1Cover for travel insurance on our next trip and have no hesitation in recommending them to others. Costs very reasonable and with prompt and courteous service.

Taking out the policy was quick and easy I didn’t know how they go with claims as I have always been lucky and have never claimed on travel insurance

Excellent Care and Compassion

After coming into trouble on the Kokoda Track I had to call for assistance. 1Cover where incredible. They provided immediate assistance, followed up with me regularly and did everything they could to get me to safety. I could not fault a single thing they did. They were caring, compassionate, helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

Friendly, supportive staff during medical emergency

Have been a 1Cover client for many years. First time I have needed to use the company for anything more than a minor claim. The team were great, supportive and assisted to decrease any concerns I had during my hospitalisation. Very strongly recommended.

Terrible product

We got super sick whilst away, I went to the doctor - got a certifcate - and they rejected out of hand the expenses claimed. They never even contacted me for further clarification. An absolute rip off.

Competitively priced

I found 1Cover easy to sign up for and very competitively priced. It gave me peace of mind while travelling. Unfortunately I can’t comment further as fortunately I didn’t need to use it.

My claim was assessed quickly with a favourable outcome covering all my costs minus the excess, was a great great relief.

Excellent, affordable cover

I always get 1Cover when travelling - haven't claimed yet, so can't comment on that, but they are BY FAR the most competitively priced based on the amount of cover.

I would highly recommend 1Cover to anyone - do your research and you'll see that they cover an equivalent, or in some cases even higher, $ amount than travel insurers such as CoverMore.

Very Poor Service after 10 Years a Customer

I was very disappointed in the service I received from 1 Cover recently.
I have been a customer for over 10 years and have never had to make a claim before.
On a recent trip we had to return because of a family emergency with my Father in law.
I understand that because of his age we were not covered for any return airfares but do believe I should have received a refund or credit for the 50% of he policy I did not use.
I replied to 1 Cover after being informed of this and received no other communication. Very poor.

Very quick response and payment of claim.

Although quite entailed with regard to documents required to substantiate a claim, I am an older woman and was able to follow the directions. Claim was paid within a couple of days.

Shouldn't review unless you've claimed.

It is impossible to give a rating on a product you haven't used. This is only possible if you've claimed on your policy and are reviewing if you had your claim paid fairly and efficiently. I have had policies with other travel insurance companies with 5 star ratings (given for ease of taking out policy and competitive cost). It could be a different story when it comes to a claim. Despite hours wasted to provide supporting documentation, there were so many exclusions in the fine print of the policy that my claims were not paid, despite my legitimate claims due to airline delays and COVID. My suggestion would be for would be travellers to only look at reviews from people who have had to make a claim on their policy. Re 1 Cover, after I bought the policy I realised the COVID cover only applied if you got COVID while on holiday. What if you got it a few days before leaving on a big trip and couldn't go? Apparently, 1Cover's policy (like others) doesn't cover you for COVID your timing is bad, so you would be very much out of pocket, even though you thought you were covered for COVID. Detailed reading of all policies is required.

Help when a errors and changes occur.

On our trip, we had a fight time change prior to leaving. But the change time between domestic and international was not the required after changes. Our insurance covered overnight accommodation in order to put us back onto a flight the next day. This saved us the hassle of staying at the domestic terminal overnight.

Good until you need to claim

Make sure you read everything. lost my kindle on the plane I said the last time I saw it was in the overhead locker. Items are not covered in the overhead locker I was told. I've used 1 cover over 15 times and never claimed.I will Never use them again.

Fast resolution

Very pleased with the quick response to our claim. Once we had submitted the requested paperwork the claim was approved 6 days later, and the money was in the bank 3 days after that.

Amazing service from start to finish

I recently broke my ankle overseas, and 1cover were there to help. From helping me out at the hospital, to advice from nurses and doctor on some of the confusing directions the overseas doctor had given me, to getting me home in the safest and most comfortable way possible. The claim was easy to process, and the reimbursement of personal money spent has been extremely quick in nature. I highly recommend 1cover, and will always choose them for my future (and hopefully injury free) trips. Thank you.
