Had to make a Claim

2 wk prior to our cruise, hubby became ill. I filled in online for claim uploading the paperwork needed. Many days received another email for more info, which I sent in my post mail. Received email to say received & allow them 10 days. Within a month from start to finish our claim was successful. I stress I felt putting in his claim was unnecessary. At all times I was kept in touch by email very quickly. Very happy. Thankyou.

Happy so far, multiple policies, no claims so far.

After multiple holiday policies, I fortunately have not needed to make a claim. When making an enquiry I have received prompt replies in the past. I always just go straight to I Cover when needing a new holiday policy.

Well priced simple to apply

We looked at other products and we pleasantly surprised with the quality and price of this product. It was very straight forward to apply.

Terrible customer service

I didn’t need to use the insurance but I needed to extend my insurance and I couldn’t. The website says to extend via website but there was no option available in my panel. I did send an email requesting and it took more than 3 days to get a response so I had to get a new insurance with a new company. I won’t be getting your insurance anymore.

Excellent support in times of need

1 Cover was extremely helpful in assisting with reimbursing a claim for interruption of travel due to emergency. Very clear communication, no fuss over submitted documentation and claim treated efficiently and with a lot of care and attention. Totally recommend!

I was unable to travel due to a medical episode. I submitted a claim seeking reimbursement for an airfare.
The claim was approved within a reasonable time frame.

Check Your Cover Closely

It’s a comfort in one regard to have insurance and often a necessary, however for luggage claims the rules are tight and somewhat inconvenient. Make sure you consult and check your cover closely.
We had hassles trying to claim poor handling by Delta Airlines but because of language barriers, chaotic airport experiences and tight transit deadlines, we were not able to get a damage reference number. Even if we did the excess cost was higher than the repair or replacement of the bag.

Claims consult Carol was fantastic throughout the entire journey. Was great dealing with only one representative during the time and she was brilliant in answering all queries and communicating information in a timely manner

Confidence in travel insurance

After dealing with other travel insurance companies l was very pleased with the service from 1Cover. I have not had to make a claim but l did have to sort out travel insurance when my sister was critically ill in Vietnam. I thought my sister was with 1Cover… she wasn’t ….. but the way l was treated whilst trying to sort it out was exceptional. Unlike the insurance company she was insured with. The one she was insured with finally did the right things …. but everything l had to do and the way we were treated meant we would never go with that well known insurance again. They made us jump through hoops trying to get out of paying. I’m sure they finally medically evacuated my sister when they did their maths and decided it was going to cost them more if she died. I am happy to share the insurance company’s name

WORST TRAVEL INSURANCE, EVER!

After years of travel experience, this time we have chosen 1Cover travel insurance. Ha, what a joke! We had few incidents happening on our 5 months travel, one of which was broken luggage. We have provided all required info/documents to 1Cover insurance and after numerous emails back & forth they told us to chase the airline ourselves to get the compensation for the broken luggage. ( I mean, what is the reason of an insurance than?). As there were few airlines involved, we did not know which one have done the damage hence we have claimed it on 1Cover, thinking, Yes, we will be ok, we are covered. They kept requesting info and trying to find any way out of payment. We did not get paid even for the broken luggage despite all written prove, not to talk about the other medical incidentals. 1COVER, NEVER AGAIN!

Easy process, reasonably priced and peace of mind.

It was great to know that, even with my declared medical conditions, I was covered, and that it was still reasonably priced. Luckily, I didn't have to put a claim through, but that's the peace of mind travel insurance is meant to give you.

The process of obtaining the cover was quick and easy to process. I would definitely use them again.

Extremely Easy Process

This has to be the easiest process to obtain travel insurance from start to finish. The web site is excellent to navigate and even if you have pre-existing medical conditions you can obtain a quote and finalise insurance without waiting. Did not have to apply for a claim so I don’t know what this company is like during that process, but reading reviews etc I’m impressed.

Satisfied with claim outcome

I claimed on a health issue for which we had paid the additional $194.00 premium.
After the process of supplying various supporting documents the full claimable amount was settled on.
The time taken for settlement was also relatively prompt.

We've never had to actually make a travel insurance claim before and were very pleased and grateful to find that 1Cover assessed and approved our claim and paid for out-of-pocket expenses we listed. 1Cover emergency staff stayed in touch with me via email right from the time my husband ended up in hospital in Borneo until we arrived home. The staff I dealt with via email and phone during this emergency were great. As well, the staff in the claims area were kind and efficient in the way they assessed our claim.
