I dont like how anything over 12 months old is regarded as not being valuable and proof of purchase is required . I have a camera, ipad and phones that are more than 12 months old and who knows where the receipts are. These items would be quite expensive to replace but insurance companies give you hardly anything back if a claim is needed. Luckily in this case no claim was needed.

Expectations exceeded every time including value for money, but more importantly when a claim is required. A recent instance occurred when a family member was hospitalised overseas. 1Cover paid all expenses for the patient and for two family members to travel overseas and return including accommodation and meals. Support on the ground was amazing as well. A great outcome.

I have used 1 cover several times and have been very satisfied with the service so far. I have not had to claim so I don't have that experience, friends who have used 1 cover and had to claim, told me that the process was easy and handled well. This was one of the reasons I chose them originally.

We had 1Cover travel insurance for a cruise holiday and due to adverse weather conditions the ship missed a scheduled port of call.
My calls to 1Cover were all answered promptly, and professionally, and my lodged claim was settled in a matter of days !

I left with an insurance from 1Cover and while I was away I had to extend it by two weeks initially, because of family issues overseas. That cost me $33, which was fine. Then I had to extend it for another 2 weeks and all of the sudden it was around $44. I thought it was odd but decided to go with it anyway. Then I had to extend it for another 2 weeks and all of the sudden they charged me $55! I understand that the amount might be higher than usual, because of the extending nature of it, but it is ridiculous that it went from $33 to $44 to $55 for the same amount of time.

Was very impressed with this travel insurance company. Unfortunately became ill overseas, contacted their emergency number and they gave me the advice and assistance I needed. On my return home, I lodged my claim, received excellent assistance over the phone and had my claim validated. Easy, fairly quick, hassle-free! So delighted I picked 1cover over the other companies I was looking at. Would definitely recommend and use again. Top notch service!

I unfortunately had to make two claims whilst on travel overseas: one for catching Influenza A and one for suffering from a sudden dental problem that required a root canal treatment + crown setting.
All the claims I submitted were accepted and the claim review took only just over one working day. Incredible and very dependable service.

Lost my stuff stolen while overseas including my phone. I managed to get a police report there and on my return I lodged a claim and i was subjected to an FBI style of investigation. The experience of the claim was more distressing than the lost of my stuff.

I use 1Cover for travel insurance when I go overseas as they have not only been the most affordable but the most supportive and understanding in times of need. They have made the claiming process easy and assess each claim on individual circumstances. In my experience, 1Cover has truly been the insurance to help out when I needed it most especially when the unexpected happens whether flights are cancelled, flights are delayed, I became ill, or family members are sick. After applying for 5 months of travel insurance which ran out on 04/05/19. I contacted 1cover on the 05/05/19 and they were unable to extend my comprehensive cover. Reason for contacting late to extend insurance was the time difference between Canada and Australia. Dissappointed there was no leniency, as I was a returning customer.

Sadly, two years running now, we have had to cancel our trips due to health problems.

I paid a large amount for my travel insurance policy and therefore I expected prompt and efficient assistance. Unfortunately it took them a few days to assess my claim and then it came back unsuccessful.
