This is the first time we have ever had to make a claim on our travel insurance and 1Cover made the whole process simple and stress free from the moment I first made the call to the Emergency Assistant Team through to the processing of our claim. Claim was for hospital cover for food poisoning. Supporting documents for hospital expenses and travel details were uploaded and the claim was processed in a couple of days. The amount wasn't large but we were refunded the full amount of the expenses minus the excess.

My wife and I have pre-existing conditions that were covered with a reasonable cost. The application was the easiest I have experienced.
Luckily we did not have to claim against this but we did have to claim a medical expense and a delay.
The claim process was easy and both claims were approved and paid within 24 hours.
Will definitely use this insurer again and would highly recommend.

We travel for a total of about 3 months each year , have had annual travel insurance the previous 2 years and have never previously made a claim. As our most recent trip was over 90 days we took out a policy for a single trip this time . In our last week my husband got a debilitating back injury and was deemed unfit to fly . We were forced to stay there until he was able to get a “fit to fly “ certificate which ended up being another 7 days . Initially we had no idea how long we would have to stay, whether 1 Cover, ourselves or our travel agent would need to reorganise flights and we felt for the first 3 days we had been left stranded as 1 Cover were not answering our questions .
On Day 1 we were asked for the medical report which we sent straight thru . Day 2 we were asked for his home doctors contact details. Day 3 we were requested to sign the authority for our doctor to give them details . We were so frustrated that we had not been asked to provide all this on Day 1 and were left querying whether they were going to cover us ( hence the reason for not giving a 10 rating )
HOWEVER , once they had received confirmation that it was not a pre- existing injury , 1Cover were FANTASTIC - they confirmed all would be covered , organised new flights ( with business class for my husband so he could lie down) , arranged wheelchair assistance and were super prompt and efficient with settlement on our return home .

I recently claimed for a missed port while on a cruise. The cruise was over 12 months ago and I expected it would be too late. But, 1Cover Travel Insurance approved the claim. The whole process was so simple... I think 1Cover is amazing and will recommend them to anyone I know who is looking for travel insurance. An added benefit is their prices are very competitive with other companies.

Due to my father becoming extremely ill I was forced to change travel arrangements. The staff at 1cover were very helpful both while I was overseas and assisting with my claim upon my return. I was reimbursed for lost accommodation, flights and prebooked tickets. I was also reimbursed for the extra accommodation which was necessary. This was a very stressful time and my dealings with the staff while overseas was very helpful and I was extremely impressed on how they followed up on all communications.

It was a great experience to see how the Yankees live, I seen plenty of eye-opening things in regards to the way a lot of them live and the food they eat. I experienced food poisoning twice in my 42 days, their health system is outrageous, that was the only problem..!!!
Thank God we live in the best country in the world 🌍. Aussie !!!

I made a claim on-line and once I assembled all the necessary documents the process was simple. The claim was settled the next business day and I received payment in my bank account two days later. I will use this company for all future travel insurance. Not only that, the cost of the policy was cheaper than major competitors for my age group 70+.

1Cover offered a competitive travel insurance premium for the planned type and duration of our holiday and for my particular health condition. Unfortunately for me I became unwell during the cruise portion of our holiday and required treatment at the ship's medical facility. Upon returning home I submitted an online claim together with the requested supporting documents. The claim was approved within 1 day after making the claim and payment was deposited in our bank account within 3 days of making the claim.
