1Cover is awesome!!

Cannot fault 1Cover, after having some items stolen from my luggage whilst on holidays, just a phonecall and my claim was dealt with hassle free, easy and not stressful at all! I wouldn't take my insurance out anywhere else now after dealing with 1Cover!

Would happily hoose 1Cover next time

Last year I went to South America and got my travel insurance with 1Cover who were great. I had compared prices online beforehand and they seemed to have not only the best cover for what I wanted but suited to my budget too. I liked the print out I got with all the info needed in an emergency and the support from their staff when I needed it.

Great insurance

Have used them a few times and on practically all occasions I had to submit a claim for medical expenses or delayed luggage and it was a smooth and quick process. I highly recommend them for peace of mind.

Simplicity at its best!

I received exceptional customer service each time I made an inquiry. The staff were professional, reassuring and transparent. My claim was quick and straightforward, with an outcome in less than a week! 1Cover is my "go-to" from now on.

Very very very nice and good and friendly. Also they had a good one too. So that is good. I think. At least. Maybe not. Everyone has a shot I guess.

1Cover beats Einstein

1Cover experience is so seamless and harmonious, it would make Einstein’s cheek blushing knowing his relativity theory has been applied first by this travel insurance company when time and space stretches to expand my holiday experience.

Claim

I provided all documents and 1Cover still keep asking more. They were nice when you pay for them and they made a lot hassle when you do a claim. Finally, I gave up my claim.
Very bad and never go with them again.

1cover the only travel insurance to consider!!

Fantastic cover provided without the traps of missing important features of insurance. I wouldn't go with any other travel insurance provider when travelling internationally. Consider 1cover when you are planning an overseas holiday

Pathetic

Tried claiming a trip cancelation. They asked me for evidence for the claim and each time I provided the information they requested more. Finally threatened them with legal action and they then paid. Never give up as that is what they want.

Travel insurance review

Best price for death defying activities I do when I travel. My travel agent (sta travel) always recommends it to me and I have no problems with the company whatsoever despite never being injured whilst travelling.

Claims department run by Alianz is dissapointing

By far the worst customer service for any insurance company I have dealt with. The communication between the phone operators and the claims assessors is non-existent. I was told conflicting information every time I called (The phone op. supervisor actually agreed that it was something that also frustrated him). I was asked to supply documents 3 times after I sent them and also the reply email address never worked. I wouldn't recommend 1cover to anybody. Their claims department cannot deliver the policy that is sold by 1cover. Still waiting for claim to be resolved 3 and a half months later. Too bad if you actually wanted a camera to travel with whilst you were on holidays.

Do not use

Holiday Insurance Warning - to anybody going on holiday think twice about using 1cover or Allianz insurance. Read reviews on Allianz and see how many people complain about having their claims rejected. 1cover uses Allianz as their underwriter, so effectively the same. I required urgent surgery whilst abroad they gave me the runaround never replying to calls and eventually told me to get back to Australia as soon as possible. In the same email they told me that my cover ceases as soon as I get home. Leaving me with a hefty bill as I can't get surgery in time on the public system to repair a snapped ligament. If you want peace of mind look elsewhere!

Beware of what you are covered for. Mother died in the UK and I had to change flights

I was due to fly out from Perth Australia to Scotland to see my family. 1 week before I was due to fly out my mother died and I needed to get home urgently. I was told by 1 Cover insurance they would only cover me if the death of my mother if she was in Australia!! Not at all impressed as people take travel insurance for the safety knowledge that if anything goes wrong they will be protected. Apparently not. Who in their right mind is going to take insurance out and specify if they are covered for the death of their parents, regardless of their location?? The operator was very sympathetic and professional so no complaints with her, just the company.

Difficult claims

Like other, they are quick to take the premium but difficult to make claims. We had flight delayed on our last leg of travel causing us to miss connector flight. Provided letter from airline explaining delay, but claims keep asking for details and advise our claim is not covered based on subjective policy wording. Have used 1Cover in last 2 trips, will never gain with them.

Loop hole experts. Guaranteed to lose out if you make a claim.

I submitted a claim over 6 months ago, and I am still waiting on my reimbursement from all my stolen apparatus. The staff are lovely over the phone, however they are dictated to behave in strict structural mannerisms by the Allianz hierarchy. They will find any loop hole to depreciate the value of your items, and in my case, completely eradicate the items off your claim for unfair reasons. I had proof of my brand new stolen iPad (amongst other things), with a receipt, however they declared the receipt was not sufficient proof as the top of the receipt was missing, and it was impossible for me to locate the original buyer (as purchased off gumtree) to request the full receipt. I had the IMEI blocked for my iPhone 5, and confirmed by my phone company, with other documents that I owned the iPhone 5, yet they declared the IMEI is still unblocked and that I needed more proof. I sent so many emails proving these items belonged to me, and I would always get responses that there were missing documents, or they hadn't received them. I had to speak to a different staff member every time (over 10 staff members), and inevitably every time I was put on hold for a period of time so they could 'familiarize' themselves with my case, and still had little idea of my situation. Allianz, as I have heard from various other people as well, will find any grey areas so that they don't have to pay you out, and if they are persistent enough, the aim of their game is to get you to give up so that nil reimbursement is payed out. They are a snidey, selfish, money-guzzling, tyrannical organization and without doubt, will leave you in financial debt with less that you were guaranteed.

No Never Again

First time using this insurance provider and unfortunately I needed to file a claim. Followed the instructions and promptly sent it off. Twice I have tried to follow it up just to even see if it has been received and I keep getting excuses about a back log ( apparently a 1000 claims sitting on the desk!!) and that it would be to much trouble for the girl to check the claims awaiting input into the system so I have to wait till they catch up and issue a letter to acknowledge receipt of the claim let alone the time frame for processing! This insurance company was suggested by our travel agent but never again its to hard talking to people that aren't interested in your call let alone all the information I forwarded she barely suppressed her yawn!

Completely Ignored

I was recently hospitalised in a West African nation.As I am located in a remote region, I have very limited telephone and internet access. As there was no option for a freecall from here I tried calling and was put on hold until my phone credit expired. Repeated emails explaining my situation, and a request for someone to contact me, were either entirely ignored or an automatic response with a link to the website was sent to me. The customer service equated to zero. Apalling.

Nearly $400 wasted - do not buy this insurance

I basically had the most terrible experience of my life. I had a trip planned for 3 months in the USA and when I got to America I was denied access into the country and straight sent back on the next flight after being detained for 15h for no reason.
I have booked another trip now because I need to get over that terrible experience and I also have taken time off to travel so I rang 1cover to ask them whether my policy would cover the new places I would travel to and they told me I had left the country and returned and therefore my policy would be void and I would have to buy a new policy. So $400 dollars plus the money for the tickets wasted and I haven't even been anywhere yet. Now I have only booked a 6 weeks trip and not 3 months like initially planned, but the insurance is not willing to make adjustments. I'm very disappointed.

Paid claim quickly

We were recently delayed in Bali for a week due to the volcano. I had purchased a multi-trip policy through Groupon (which was great value). Our claim for additional accommodation and meals was paid for in full within about 2 weeks. We made sure that the accommodation we chose for our extended stay cost about the same as our original accommodation cost. First time we've made a claim, and it turned out to be a good experience. Based on this I would use 1Cover again.

Amazing service

I have purchased 1Cover a couple of times. I am always impressed as they offer great value for money. However recently I had to make a claim for my phone and the turnaround time from making a claim to getting the money back was really quick. Really Impressive.
