1Cover travel insurance has been our choice for many overseas trips in the recent decade, despite never having to make a claim. One example was during our recently completed trip where it was impressive to be able to show a car hire agent in (expensive) Norway that my travel insurance more than adequately covered his company's damages excess. Another example was near the end of the trip when it was realised, due to a last minute 'kerfuffle' with flight bookings, that our travel insurance cover expired seven hours before arriving home. Probably due to our good record with them, 1Cover was happy to extend our cover by half a day at no extra charge - such are excellent customer relations!

At the ripe old age of 77 I had to make my first travel claim or two, having travelled for over 50 years without trouble had to pick the USA to have two falls. I do not know what I would have done without the kindness and help from 1Cover staff both here and there. Thank you so much.

Hi there, the day before we were due to return, my daughter was sick. I was looking to speak to someone to get advice regarding my options if she was unable to fly the next day. I tried the "emergency" number that was on the voice message for after hours and the number did not answer, instead I got a recorded message asking me to leave a message. This was not an emergency as such, however, I was faced with not being able to travel home due to a sick child, and needed to understand my options - what if we couldn't fly - what would happen to our flights? Did I stay with her and the rest of the family fly home? Could we stay at the same accommodation or did we have to move? Did I need to travel to a doctor for a medical certificate? She was feeling too unwell to travel at that time. I was really worried about her. These were all questions I needed to know. I found that disappointing and thought to myself - what if this was a real emergency and I needed help immediately and I had to leave a message. So, as a suggestion for improvement, it would be great if it was very obvious what number to call from overseas when I took out the policy, so it was easy to find when under stress or pressure, and would be great to have a person to talk to - even if it was a paging service that advised me someone would be in touch within 15-30 minutes, etc.

Really easy to purchase. I haven't had to claim yet but I purchase as a safeguard. Its not overly priced. It will be interesting to see what happens if I have to claim considering other insurance agencies I've dealt with.

Two days before our cruise we thought we might have to cancel because of illness but the doctor gave clearance so the cruise was a good place to relax and catch up on sleep. Last year we did a cruise and my prescription sunglasses were lost. Although I'd much rather have the glasses, you were most helpful with the claim. Thank you - I'd recommend you.

I have used 1cover 4 times now in a row when I have travelled overseas. I find it is value for money and the coverage of the policy is good. Even though I have not had to make a claim it looks pretty straight forward. I even referred a work colleague this week to 1cover as she is travelling in the next 2 weeks overseas. She compared other products and went with 1cover.

Simple exercise to navigate website and get a quote. As an older traveller quote for travel to India very favourable compared to other companies. Have previously used 1cover and always feel confident that should anything occur I am adequately covered and am unlikely to experience difficulties with a claim.
