The Winter Sports Pack covers claims that may arise from amateur heliskiing activities that do not involve any form of racing, acrobatics, jumping, aerial, stunting or freestyle. Terms and conditions, limits and exclusions apply. Please refer to the PDS for further information.
Yes, we provide cover for off-piste skiing and snowboarding as long as it is within a short distance from designated areas of ski resort boundaries on groomed terrain that are open and patrolled by the ski resort.
You must select the Winter Sports Pack add-on when booking your policy to be covered for any winter sports activities.
We do not cover backcountry skiing due to the high risk of skiing in a sparsely inhabited rural region over ungroomed and unmarked slopes, it is advised to stay within resort boundaries where the slopes are patrolled.
Yes! When you are booking your policy simply select the Winter Sports Pack add-on and you will enjoy cover for Rental Ski Equipment Hire Excess. Terms and conditions, limits and exclusions apply. Please refer to the PDS for further information.
Yes, these policies are only available for customers under the age of 64.
A double excess applies for all claims under sections Overseas Medical & Hospital Expenses, Additional Accommodation & Travel Expenses, and Cancellation Fees & Lost Deposits if you purchase this option and your claim arises directly from you participating in winter sports activities. You cannot pay to remove this excess.
The Winter Sports Pack does not provide cover for claims under Permanent Disability or Personal Liability that arise from you participating in winter sports activities.
Your policy covers the full duration of your trip as stated on your Certificate of Insurance. There are no refunds if you come home earlier than planned. This is stated in the PDS.
Choose the excess that best suits you. Opting for a lower excess means you'll pay less if you need to claim.
Protect your high-value items not automatically covered by your policy. Note: items cannot be older than 12 months.
Choose to increase your rental vehicle excess cover amount up to $8,000 and protect yourself from unexpected fees.
